Ethan Hill is a certified engineer, E-RYT 200, breath coach, flexibility coach and strength & conditioning instructor from Charlotte, NC. He is the founder of two companies and now lives in Asheville, NC.
During a year stint as a project manager at a financial tech startup — a job that often necessitated 60-hour workweeks, never ending to-do lists, and handling unhappy customers — there was only one thing that kept him sane: yoga!
Looking for answers, Ethan has traveled all across the country, attended intensive retreats, read dozens of related books and textbooks, meditated for thousands of hours in silence, and thought extensively about the topic of yoga and what it means to be human in the 21st century.
What he found along his journey is reflected in his compassionate, yet no-nonsense style of teaching: knowledge of human physiology, long-hold poses with an intense focus on breath control, embodied yogic philosophy, and consistent reminders of how to use one's attention.
